Congratulations to third baseman Ray Crawford Jr. from Greensboro’s Dudley High School for his selection to the 2009 Under Armour Baseball Pre-Season All-American Tournament……Good news for Ray and he should be on his way to the Big A; Arizona, come January 2009…. Here’s the info on Ray and the upcoming trip:

You have been selected as a 2009 Under Armour Pre-season All-American! The 2009 Under Armour Pre-season All-America Tournament will bring top players from across the nation together in Tucson, Arizona. The Baseball Factory and Team One scouting departments have selected all players for this event.

The three-day Under Armour Pre-season All-America Tournament will include: AWARDS CEREMONY: You’ll be recognized at the tournament awards ceremony, where you’ll hear special keynote speakers and receive your official Pre-Season All-American certificate.

TOURMANENT COMPETITION: Players will represent their region in the 20 team wood bat Under Armour Pre-Season All-America Tournament. (Team Northeast, Team West, etc.) Mattingly Baseball V-grip wood bats will be available for purchase at the event.

PERSONAL WEB PAGE: Video footage of your performance, contact information and a scout’s summary will be placed on a Personal Player Web Page created by Baseball Factory for you. You can email the web link to any coach or scout in the country to get instant feedback.

MAXIMUM EXPOSURE: We’ll email every college coach and MLB scouting director announcing that your video footage and scouts’ summary are available online through our player database. PRO SCOUT CONTACT: Pro scouts from many of the major league teams will be covering the event. In addition, many of those scouts will also be instructing players on-field.

TOP TALENT RECOGNITION: The final Under Armour Pre-Season All-America team rosters will be posted on the Baseball Factory and Team One web sites. The players rated as having the “Top Tools” from the event will also be featured on the Baseball Factory and Team One web sites.

TRAINING & PREPARATION: Prior to the event, our scouts will provide you with a training and preparation guide. We want to make sure you’re primed to perform your best at the tournament.

PERFORMANCE OUTFITTING: All players will be provided with an official Under Armour Pre-Season All-America Team uniform. You will receive a pair of Under Armour cleats, an Under Armour jersey and an Under Armour hat.

ALL-AMERICA GAME AT WRIGLEY FIELD: Our scouts will use the Pre-Season Tournament to qualify 2010 grads for next year’s Under Armour All-America Game, which will be played in August 2009 at historic Wrigley Field. The inaugural Under Armour All-America Game was telecast live on ESPNU. Five players were selected to compete in the 2008 game at Wrigley Field, based on their performance at the Under Armour Pre-Season All-America Tournament.   1. Ray Ray- I’m very proud of you! You work so hard at your game and now it all pays off! The great thing about you is that you are setting the bar high and making all the Dudley Baseball players come to your level. That’s why Dudley will be a team to beat in 09!

  2. Did you know you have a fan in little old Holland, Michigan. Nope not a stalker – just someone your Dad knows through his business. You have already made a ton of people proud – keep it up! Who knows some day you might make an enormous difference for the Detroit Tigers!
