++++++++++Northwest built up a 10-point lead in the fourth quarter, but the Jamestown Tigers came roaring back…In the last thirty seconds of the game, Brooke Parker hit two free throws for Jamestown to put the Tigers up by one point, and then we came down the other way, and Copper Cox hit two free throws for Northwest to win and seal the victory…Tight game, with tight nerves on end, late in this game, and JMS had one more chance to win, but they missed about a seven-foot jumper as time expired….Jamestown’s Brooke Parker got some good help from Moody, Boddie and Williams, but for the most part, the NWG defense was working on Parker, and she could not get her best game going…NWG really did rely on Cooper Cox for a lot of their hard work, but Northwest saw both Gatewoods, Cango, and others getting the job done…Might just see these same two teams in the Conference Tournament Championship Game..So far the two games between these two, has been decided by one point on both occasions…20-19 JMS in Game One, and NWG 30-29 in Game Two…Today, one of the best girls basketball games we will see this season.++++++++++

Northwest Guilford boys 50, Jamestown Middle 40
NWG boys(7-5)
End of First Quarter:NWG 15, JMS 11…Halftime:NWG 27, JMS 20…End of Third Quarter:JMS 38, NWG 37…Final:NWG 50, JMS 40

JMS Scoring:Pines 10 points, Garrison 7, King 7, Southern 5, Perez 5, Scott 2
**********There were times when it looked like Northwest might run off and leave Jamestown, but JMS stayed the course and held on to be in the game, in the last period…Jamestown was getting some three’s from Pines, but Northwest was way too tough down in the post, with Van Wert, Leach and Brown…Takahashi was attacking the bucket, and Stafford was there for support…Adam Reavis is a nice ball handler and pass facilitator for NWG…JMS got good post minutes from their big man Perez and he has a real sweet hook shot…
