  1. Has anyone else noticed this trend or have I been overstating what I am seeing. It appears Virginia is starting to make a much bigger push into this area of NC for recruiting. I have seen several players from schools such as Dudley and NW showing up on the Virginia recruit list that I don’t remember seeing previously. VT, TN and SC often come thru but I don’t think the previous Virginia coach cared much about this area. Am I wrong in thinking that Virginia is starting to focus on this area more with the new coach?

  2. Jason Fuentes the new coach at Virginia Tech is hitting this area real hard and he has locked down Hendon Hooker and is after more players from the Triad…

New coach Bronco Mendenhall at Virginia has Ruffin McNeill, the former ECU coach on his staff and Coach Ruff knows the Triad and the quality of players we have around here with James Summers, Rocco Scarfone, Jonathan White from over at High Point Central, Lindsay Ivey from Eastern Alamamce and many others all from the Triad having played for Coach McNeill at ECU…

McNeill is the assistant head coach in charge of the defense at UVA now and he will have a big bearing who comes to Charlottesville and from what he knows about this area, it should give the kids from this area a boost when it comes to going to UVA….

  3. When will the new conference changes occur? I thought I read that NW and Page would be in a conference together and Dudley would drop to 3A.

  4. New conferences take place/start up in the Fall of 2017….Dudley and Smith at 3-A…NWG, Page, Grimsley, Ragsdale and High Point Central together in the five-team 4-A Conference I think it is….
