College Women’s Lacrosse Final – Bridgewater 14, Guilford 9

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Kirsten Stark and Anna O’Hara scored three goals apiece in Bridgewater College’s 14-7 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) lacrosse win over visiting Guilford College Saturday.

Stark and Dwyer Neal (2 goals) scored 27 seconds apart to cap a 5-0 Bridgewater spurt that spanned the halves and opened a 9-4 Eagles’ lead. The Quakers answered with three of the next four goals and made it a 10-7 game on Madison Iandoli game-high fourth score, which came with 8:59 left in regulation. Bridgewater iced the win by scoring the game’s final four goals, two by O’Hara.

Neal and Shannon Rogers both finished with three points on two goals and an assist. Abby Houtz and Sarah Yashinskie also tallied twice. Kayla O’Sullivan forced four of Guilford’s 20 turnovers in the game and goalie Mikaela Brooks made 10 saves, including four on free-position shots.

Iandoli’s five points (4 goals, 1 assist) led all scorers. She also picked up a game-best five draws and forced three turnovers. Grace Moore scored twice for the Quakers. Sarah Sedaghat matched her career high for the third time in six games with 14 saves.
