GREENSBORO, N.C. – Hollins University scored a 9-0 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) women’s tennis win over host Guilford College on Friday.
HC improved to 1-4 (1-2 ODAC) with the win. The Quakers slipped to 0-5 (0-3 ODAC).
The visitors swept the three doubles matches, winning by scores of 8-5, 8-0, and 8-0. Hollins also dominated in singles, yielding just six games in six straight-set wins.
Makayla McLaurin and Olivia La Ganza lost a competitive #1 doubles match, 8-5. McLaurin, Brooklyn Hopkins and Megan Kimpel all won two games in singles play.
The Quakers host Roanoke in an ODAC match on Saturday at 1 p.m.
