STAUNTON, Va. – Thirteen players scored for the Greensboro College women’s basketball team as they breezed past the Squirrels of Mary Baldwin University Saturday, 100-55.

Katie Lewis, Rasheika Gregory and Kamerin Williams combined for the first nine points of the game for the Pride before going on to take a 14-11 lead into the second period.

Over the first six minutes of the period, the Greensboro offense began to click on all cylinders as they connected on 7-of-9 attempts from the field to extend their lead to 30-17.

The Pride then used a 12-3 run to extend their lead out to 22 points at 42-20 before taking a 19-point lead into the break.

During the final 20 minutes of play, Greensboro was able to keep the offense going to secure the victory.

“Today was a good win for us,” Head Coach Randy Tuggle said. “We were able to get a lot of people involved with the game, and they were able to gain more experience.”

Four players scored in double figures for Greensboro with Williams leading the way with 16. Sabria Joseph and Lewis each had 12 points, while Gregory chipped in 10. Lauren Jenkins and Williams hauled in a team-high eight rebounds.

The Pride women will return to action Sunday when they travel to take on the Falcons of Pfeiffer University at 2 p.m. For more information on Greensboro College women’s basketball, continue to follow www.greensborocollegesports.com.
