College Men’s Soccer Final: W&L 8, Guilford 0

LEXINGTON, Va. – Andrew Kim scored one goal and had two assists as Washington and Lee bested visiting Guilford, 8-0, on Saturday afternoon. Will Hamryka scored twice for the Generals.

W&L improved to 11-3-1 and 6-2 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. The Quakers dropped to 2-15 and 2-6.

Kim put the Generals on the scoreboard in the sixth minute after he bent the ball into the net on a corner kick. Harry Pinkerton added an unassisted goal at the 19:24.

Dylan Rich scored off a free kick in the 28th minute. At the 36:38 mark, Rich crossed a ball to Reeves Duggan who finished for W&L. Washington and Lee a 4-0 at halftime.

In the second half, Hamryka scored off assists from Kim in the 52nd and 53rd minutes.

Tyler Runge netted and unassisted tally in the 84th minute. The final score was recorded with 85:02 on the clock when Danny Tran scored off a pass from Will Rowson.

Washington and Lee led in shots (38-5) and corner kicks (16-4). Omar Solis recorded two shots and had GC’s lone shot on goal.

Michael McShane played all 90 minutes and had ten saves for the Quakers.

Guilford hosts Randolph College on Tuesday (10/24). Their final ODAC regular season match begins at 7 p.m.
