Middle School Football Finals with Mendenhall, Allen Jay, Hairston and Kiser grabbing wins and we are looking for more Winners!!!!!(Saw a little kid make an open field tackle and what a play!!!!!)

*****Looking for more scores with Hairston Middle, Allen Jay Prep and Kiser Middle in the books so far…..*****
Tuesday/Today’s games:
Hairston Middle School 30 Ferndale 0
Hairston(2-0)
Allen Middle at Northeast Guilford(2-1) 5pm….Bill Bookout Stadium…at Northeast Guilford High School….This game was postponed and the Makeup Date is TBD/TBA…….

Wednesday Games:
Mendenhall 32, Southwest Guilford Middle 26
Allen Jay Middle/Prep 26, Welborn 12
Recap…
Allen Jay Prep beat Welborn 26-12. AJP was lead by 2 touchdowns a piece for Tyler Moore and Malik Roberson. Brandon Poteat lead the defense with 12 tackles with 4 of those being for a loss and forced a fumble which he recovered….
Kiser 43, Jackson Middle School 0
Kiser(1-2)
Was able to stop by the Kiser-Jackson game since it is near my home and I had to check-in/check-out quick today, but Kiser got big games from Bowman(Kicker), Shaw(QB/DL), Brown(RB), Coleman(DL), Wall and more Tigers….Coleman blocked a punt, recovered the loose football and ran it back for a TD….Little #12 for Kiser and I mean little, say maybe 3’11 and 65 pounds, he made one of the best open-field touchdown saving tackles of the season….That little kid should have a place in your heart tonight, cause that kid can compete and he is small, but he gives it his all….

Swann at Eastern Guilford 5pm….Tommy Grayson Stadium…at EG High School
Penn Griffin at The Academy at Lincoln(0-3) 5pm….Tarpley Stadium…at Dudley High School
Kernodle at Jamestown 5:30pm….Kenneth Miller Stadium…at Ragsdale High School

  1. NE and Allen did not play Tuesday. Allen’s head coach thought that the game was on Wednesday and was unable to find a bus/bus driver to bring the athletes to NE to play on Tuesday. A make-up date has yet to be announced.

  2. I’d like to give a shout out to Jackson coaches. Only had 15 kids dressed but never stopped coaching and their kids never stopped playing. Thank you for what you are doing.

  3. Hey Coach Edwards, who is that little #12???

    AD

Big Travis Shaw #4 and #88 Jackson are real big for Kiser, but that little #12, he is one a one of a kind kid….

  5. Andy,

A retired police officer, Addison Edwards has dedicated his life to serving the Greensboro Community. Now he is dedicating his time to the Kiser football program, with the hopes of changing the lives of those boys and having a positive impact on the GHS program in the future.

I had the privilege of working closely with Coach Edwards and his family. They are what is right with youth and high school sports in Guilford County.

  6. Coach Edwards has done a great job helping and coaching the football teams….

If you have or see more scores from Thursday, send them our way and if you see that little #12, let him know he is on the radar…..
