Kernersville Bulldogs earn win #40, with four wins over the Weekend:Lots of locals getting it done for ‘Dogs

Kernersville claimed four league wins over the weekend to push their record to 40-7 as they prepare to enter the last week of the CVCL regular season!

On Saturday night at Lenoir Rhyne in game one local guys Braxton Shetley hurled six solid innings of one run baseball in picking up the win but would need a save from Noah Carter to hold on for a 9-6 win. Timmy Fischvogt with a 2-2 and 2 rbi night paced the Bulldog offense.

In Game two Catawba left Bryan Ketchie and UNCG’s Jake Mayhew held the Stars to three hits in a 11-1 Kernersville win. Former GTCC players Ryan Caveness 2-2 and three rbis, Colin Lipke 2-3 including a triple and Tyler Price 2-3 including a double led the attack!

On Sunday the Bulldogs traveled to play the NW Fungo and again former GTCC stars carried the load but this time it was on the mound as in game one Chris Kernen picked up the win hurling five strong innings in an 8-4 win.

In game two Will Hicks picked up the win allowing only two hits. NCA&T Tim Luth closed out the 16-0 win. In game one Noah Campbell 2-3, Nick Wilson 1-3 a double and 3rbis, and Fischvogt 1-3 and rbi pace offense. In the game two a Campbell 3 run-homer, Colin Lipke 2-2 with two runs scored and Dylan Wilkinson 3-4 and two rbis broke open the game.

Kernersville travels to Mooresville for a makeup game Monday night at seven.
