Amador Named To ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Team

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Piero Amador was named to the third-team South ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Team, the American Baseball Coaches Association announced Tuesday.
“I am extremely excited for Piero to receive this honor,” Head Coach Frank Maldonado said. “From the minute he stepped on campus, his attitude, work ethic and vision for the team was always positive.
“Piero has definitely helped elevate our program and I am proud to have him here at Greensboro College.”
Amador, a junior left-handed pitcher from Miami, Fla., had a great season for the Pride in 2017.
Amador led the Greensboro pitching staff with 46 strikeouts and a 2.48 ERA, while also posting a staff-high six wins.
Amador’s best start of the season came on March 10, against Methodist University, where he recorded a complete game victory and struck out 13 batters.
