Hamm Paces Elon Women’s Golf Phoenix at Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate

MORGANTON, N.C. – With three Elon players in the top-20, the Phoenix women’s golf team stands in a three-way tie for fourth place following one round of the 2017 Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate. The Phoenix carded a 308 on Sunday and is two strokes back of third place.

ROUND ONE

The Highlights
Aurelia Hamm finished day one with a one-over 73 and is just one stroke back of co-leaders Yudika Rodriguez of Bethune-Cookman and Ashley Sloup of Winthrop. Hamm is one of four players tied for third in the field of 68 players.

Two strokes back in a tie for 10th is Kelsey Badmaev who tallied a 75 during her first round of the event. She is followed by Hilda Kristjansdottir who shot a 77 to tie for 16th.

Elon’s final two team players are Heather Munro, who is tied for 51st with a mark of 83, and Anali Otazo Rodas, who shot an 84 to sit 55th.

Katherine Reilly is competing as an individual and is tied for 63rd after carding a first-round 88.

The final round of the Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate is scheduled to be played on Monday, April 3 at the Mimosa Hills Golf and Country Club.
