The Panthers, who improved to 4-3 after starting the season 0-3, led in shots, 43-32, and had nine fewer turnovers than the Red Foxes (4-4), 25-16.

Neither team had more than a two-goal lead throughout the first 41 minutes of the contest and were tied, 9-9, when High Point pulled off four-straight scores. “I thought we came out a little slow today,” HPU head coach Lyndsey Boswell said. “It was nice to see us fight through a little adversity half way through the game and I thought we did a good job coming out of halftime. Overall, we started a little slow, but are excited to get the win.”

Brown, Stevens and junior Erica Perrotta each scored four goals. Brown passed the 100-career point milestone in the game and now has 103 career points (63g, 40a).

Sophomore Emory Gaeng led HPU with five ground balls, while fellow sophomore Meredith Chapman recorded a career-high four caused turnovers. Freshman Ashley Britton tallied a season-high six draw controls.

Next up, the Panthers travel to Philadelphia for road contests at La Salle on March 24 at 7 p.m. and Drexel on March 26 at noon.
