RICHMOND, Va. – Felipe Sarrasague of Elon University men’s tennis has been named the CAA Player of the Week for the second time this season, the conference announced Wednesday afternoon.

Sarrasague was selected for the award after winning a pair of singles matches at No. 1 against Campbell and North Florida. In Elon’s match against UNF, the sophomore earned Elon’s only point of the afternoon with a 3-6, 6-4, 1-0 (8) win over 64th-ranked Jack Findel-Hawkins.

With his two victories last week, Sarrasague is now 9-5 on the season in singles. His first CAA Player of the Week honor came back on Feb. 15 after a 2-0 week against Liberty and William & Mary.

Elon returns to action Friday afternoon, March 10, when it battles Charlotte. First serve at Jimmy Powell Tennis Center is set for 3 p.m. against the 49ers.
