  1. Dudley girls draws a tough 1st round match up. Myers Park is well coached and a lot of their losses were against really good teams.

  2. You are right about the Myers Park Mustangs. Coached by Barbra Nelson and she is one of the best in the state…You win your conference tournament and see what that gets ya…Tough, but now is the time to get tougher….

  3. @bracket watcher, Myers Park is pretty tough however, Dudley girls showed on Friday that they don’t give up. Good luck to Coach Frank McNeil and those Dudley Panthers i’m sure they will give their all. Good luck to all the area teams that will be playing in the post season.

  4. SW and NE could very easily knock off a top seed in the second round. Northwest and Northern should breeze into the finals, with the tough teams in the opposite side of the brackets for both. Page should make the sweet sixteen and ragsdale could get a opening round win. Dudley gets a bad draw but MP isn’t anything like they’ve been in the past. Good luck to all the Gaters girls and all Guilford county teams.

  5. They don’t have those brackets up yet so you have to read the pairings and you have 1-16 in Round One and they will play the winner of 8-9 in Round Two, 2-15 will play the winner of 7-10, then in Round Three if the pairings hold up, you would have 1-4 and 2-3 and so on….16 teams on each side of the bracket and a total of 32 teams in each bracket…Studying the 1 through 16 numbers is the key….In the sectionals you knock out teams all the way down to what would be the 1 vs. 2 for the top and bottom part of the bracket as you hit the Regional Round One and then you take the top winner of the overall bracket and then the bottom part of the bracket winner and they will play for the Regional Title and the right to go to the State Title game….East Regional winner vs. West Regional winner for the State Title…

It all goes back to 1’s vs. 16’s and 8’s vs. 9’s in Round One and so on, just like you have in the NCAA’s…..

  6. Use the bracket above. Just look at the sub region for the seeding, and disregard the region seed. They put together the east and mideast and the west and Midwest all together but it’s 4 brackets. Example is mallard creek vs east Forsyth is the 1 vs 16 seed, the winner plays the winner of SW guilford vs S. Meck 8 vs 9 seed.
