GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – North Carolina redshirt-sophomore guard Paris Kea has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, while Virginia freshman guard Jocelyn Willoughby is this week’s ACC Rookie of the Week, as announced Monday afternoon by the conference office and voted upon by the Blue Ribbon Panel.

Kea averaged 23.5 points, 6.0 assists and 5.5 rebounds, while shooting 71 percent from the floor last week against two top-25 ranked teams. She flirted with a triple double on Sunday when she had 21 points, eight assists and seven rebounds in an 83-70 victory over No. 18 NC State that snapped a five-game UNC losing streak. Against No. 17 Miami, Kea scored 26 points, the second-highest scoring output of the season for the redshirt sophomore. She also had four rebounds and four assists. Kea has scored 21 or more points in four-straight games.
