Elon Women’s Golf Phoenix Solid on Day One of Kiawah Island Intercollegiate

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – Aurelia Hamm and Kelsey Badmaev paced the Elon University women’s golf team in the first round of the Kiawah Island Intercollegiate hosted by College of Charleston on Sunday, Oct. 23, as the Phoenix is tied for eighth place as a team.

Hamm and Badmaev are both in the top five individually while Elon’s mark of 14-over par (302) is good for eighth, 12 shots back of leader Mississippi.

HIGHLIGHTS
Hamm carded a career-low round of 71 in the first round and is fourth individually at 1-under par.

Badmaev is tied for fifth after opening with an even-par round of 72.

Heather Munro is tied for 53rd and Katherine Reilly is tied for 78th. In a tie for 86th is Hilda Kristjansdottir.

UP NEXT
Elon will play the final two rounds of the Kiawah Island Intercollegiate on Monday, Oct. 24, and Tuesday, Oct. 25.
