High Point Post 87 HiToms’s late runs seal 10-4 win over Davidson County

A five-run third inning sealed a 10-4 win for High Point Post 87 HiToms over Davidson County on Sunday at Holt-Moffitt Field.

High Point Post 87 HiToms scored in the third on a hit by pitch, a two-run double by Ryan Caveness, and a two-run single by Patrick Callaghan.

Evan Edwards reached base three times in the game for High Point Post 87 HiToms. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the first inning and homered in the seventh inning.

High Point Post 87 HiToms relied on Riley Isenhour to eat up innings en route to the win. Isenhour allowed two earned runs, eight hits and no walks while striking out four over eight innings of work.

Turner ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He allowed six runs in six innings, walked two and struck out two.

After posting one run in the fifth, High Point Post 87 HiToms again scored one in the seventh. In the fifth, High Point Post 87 HiToms scored on an RBI single by Caveness, scoring Kip Brandenburg.

    Has his team at (7-2) in much more balanced NABA in 2016…

    Dale Moser with the Red Wings and Kevin Randle with the Grasshoppers should also be in consideration for Coach of Year, for the job that they have done with their respective teams…
