Hoppers win it 7-5 on Tuesday at NewBridge Bank Park…WP was Ben Holmes(4-0) and Ben now has an ERA of 0.32 and that leads the South Atlantic League with the top ERA..Scott Squier gets the Save his first of the year for the Grasshoppers..Losing pitcher was Foster Griffin(1-4) and Griffin came in as a #1 draft pick by the Kansas City Royals in the 2015 MLB Draft, #28 overall in the draft…
Greensboro Grasshoppers Josh Naylor steals home in the 7-run fifth inning and Naylor’s made the Hoppers, the go-on-toppers, as they took a 5-4 lead that they would not surrender….Great win by baseball standards, a real hard/tough win to finish off, as the game took 3 hours and 29 minutes to complete and that puts right up there in the 3 and a-half hour game department and those are mighty tough to get closed out….
