The N.C. A&T Aggie women’s basketball team will be headed to South Bend, Indiana this Saturday to face the (31-1) Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the opening Round of the ladies’ NCAA Basketball Tournament…

Here is part of how they got there from the N.C. A&T Aggies athletics web site:

The North Carolina A&T women’s basketball won the 2016 MEAC Basketball Tournament Championship with a 65-46 win over Coppin State at the Norfolk Scope Arena. It was the Aggies third MEAC title and their first in seven years. The Aggies (19-11) will also be making their third NCAA appearance. An opponent and a site was announced for the Aggies on Monday night. The school will held a Selection Show Party for the team Monday night at the Academic Classroom Building, room 101.

“Those ladies believed in me and in my coaching staff. They believed in the program, and I can’t thank them enough,” said N.C. A&T head coach Tarrell Robinson who won his first conference title in his fourth year as a head coach. “The decisions they made put us in this position.”
