Williamson to tie it up….Also Ellis Stokes for Dudley with a BB/Single/SB…
Dudley(4-1)…HPCA(6-1)…HPCA has some very big young men and they hit some very long balls and to Dudley’s credit, they were able to keep HPCA in the park….

  1. Dudley had a solid team. Very good group. Gesell with a couple hits and 3 innings pitched, wilkinson with 1 big RBI and 4 innings pitched, Lawson with a hit and a couple stolen bases, Fischvogt with throw out at 2nd base and a back pick at 1st and 2 RBIs and Shane Harvell with a go ahead sac fly in the 7th.

  3. Dudley Panthers held on as long as they could. They kept HP at bay. HP stranded runners in big situations – Dudley outfield was able to keep ball in park by playing deep. Proud of Panthers , battled a very good team and very BIG team. Best of luck HP! Good Job Cam and Pruitt couple big hits for us tonight. Best of luck to both teams rest of year. Go Panthers!!

  4. Southeast Guilford 7
    Northwest Guilford 6

    Final
    9 innings

    A. Coble gets the win.
    A. Mcdade squeeze bunt with bases loaded for the win

  5. Grimsley over Ragsdale That makes the Whirlies 4-4. Flynn doing a really good job at Grimsley with a very young team.

  6. Not sure who was pitching for Asheboro JV last night, or if it was even the same kid, but Asheboro JV No-hit Western Guilford and won 14-0.. Not sure about varsity score.

  7. @SWG16 Ragsdale also defeated Grimsley first game of the year. Don’t get ahead of yourself. Stay classy!

  8. Tiger1 or Tiger Coach?,

Don’t get defensive or brag about that win. I just know there was a lot of talent there the last few years..

  9. No, not a coach, just a fan. Didn’t mean to come across like that. Our guys and your guys grew up together and we certainly have respect for your team. All I’m saying is don’t base our entire season on one extra inning game. I know a lot of the SW kids and by all means wish them the best.

  10. That NW schedule is brutal, I mean BRUTAL! Don’t let that record fool you, NW will be in the hunt for a conference title. This is coming from a fan of the game!

  11. I totally agree with you Mike. NW has played a tough schedule which should really help them once conference play starts.

  12. Northern Guilford, Northeast Guilford, Randleman, Richmond County, Southeast Guilford and today NWG has (7-0) West Forsyth and then Saturday they travel to meet a very strong baseball program in DH Conley, (5-1) this year…

This is the youngest NWG that I have seen in years and we are only able to recognize a few names from the past and those would be Beck, Whitson, Edwards and I think that’s it…

I said on here last week that the NWG Vikings’ schedule was brutal and it didn’t buy me much time, maybe now it will after more all-around fans see what is going on with the comp that they are playing…

Not going to be the same sort of years for NWG and Ragsdale that they have seen in the past…

You should see the young players getting better toward the end of the year….

SWG and Glenn might battle for the top spot in the Piedmont Triad 4-A this year…

  13. This is the weakest conference there has to be baseball wise next to the Metro – baseball wise. The PT4A at one time was loaded from top to bottom and one of the best conferences in the state. Hard to say what SW has because they haven’t played anyone that is alive and breathing yet! NW, East , Glenn , SW, Ragsdale, Those were the big 5 and they all are way , way down. Glenn probably has the most impressive resume by winning against HP Christian – that’s a game i think if it were played 10 more times Glenn would lose. Whoever comes out of that conference on top won’t be going far in playoffs. NW would say has a good resume based on teams they have played but haven’t gotten any W’s out of it . It will be interesting
