2015 Inductees to the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame:Bostic Brothers, builders from Greensboro on the way into the Hall

These Bostic Brothers have been builders their entire lives, building their bodies so they could play high school football at Ben L. Smith High School, then building up their frames and their futures so they could then go on and play for the Clemson Tigers in the ACC, and finally they found their homes in the NFL with the St. Louis Cardinals and the Washington Redskins….After the NFL was over they even came back home to Greensboro and founded the Bostic Brothers Building business…Bostic Brothers Builders, yes they were….

Building their bodies, their framework and their futures with hard work, until they were able to call college and professional football home and now they will have a new room/home come May 15, 2015….

It didn’t matter if it was the kitchen, the living room, the dining room, the bed room or the den, the Bostic Brothers have been all over the house and on May 15, their new favorite spot might just be the Hall, the “Hall of Fame” that is…..

The Bostic Brothers, from Greensboro, are headed to the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame….

State baseball player), Rick Hendrick(NASCAR), Gene Littles(High Point University and Carolina Cougars basketball), Jerry McGee(Duke and ECU football), Charlotte Smith(UNC basketball), Andrea Stinson(N.C. State basketball), plus sportswriter Lenox Rawlings(Winston-Salem Journal/Greensboro News and Record, Atlanta Journal and Constitution).

All to the Hall…..

The induction banquet and ceremony will be May 15 at the Raleigh Convention Center.

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) NASCAR team owner Rick Hendrick headlines this year’s electees into the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame.

The hall announced its 10-person class Tuesday. The class will be inducted in May.

Hendrick is the owner of the Hendrick Motorsports racing team. He is joined by Jeff Bostic, who won three Super Bowls during a 14-year career with the Washington Redskins, and his older brother Joe, who played 10 seasons with the Cardinals franchise in St. Louis and Phoenix.

Also in the class are Charlotte Smith, the 1995 women’s national basketball player of the year at North Carolina; veteran basketball official John Clougherty; N.C. State baseball player Freddie Combs; High Point basketball player Gene Littles; Duke football player Jerry McGee; sports writer Lenox Rawlings; and N.C. State women’s basketball player Andrea Stinson.
