Northwest Guilford’s Cole Aker headed to North Carolina for Basball and NWG’s Zack Shoemaker headed to Lenior-Rhyne for Baseball

Two of Northwest Guilford’s finest baseball players signed their Letters of Intent to play college baseball today with the Viking pitcher Cole Akers, committing to the University of North Carolina and the Vikings’ catcher, Zack Shoemaker, making his shot count for the Lenior-Rhyne Bears….

Good baseball bloods with both of these boys/young men with their dads being baseball men and their grandfathers being true baseball men for “life”…..

The Northwest Guilford Vikings’ catcher Zack Shoemaker is up next and he has a very strong baseball heritage in his family too, with his brother Marcus already working on the baseball field as a freshman at Lenior-Rhyne and his father is deep in the Shoemaker baseball legacy, since his father and Zack’s grandfather coached baseball in the Southwest Guilford community for well over 25 years and Mr. Shoemaker coached kids coming out of Colfax and that surrounding area for as long as most local baseball followers can remember…
