Speed Camp Starts Thursday! Spaces Available.

Gear up for spring with the HiToms winter strength and conditioning programs.

With the new year on the horizon, it’s time to prepare for the ‘next step’ as a ballplayer. The HiToms are pleased to offer an exciting four-week session geared towards the development of a middle school and high school athlete’s foot speed and core strength.

The eight session developmental program is a strategic opportunity for prospective college, high school and middle school players to enhance their athleticism and increase their throwing velocity and swing speed.

Segmented into two training classes (high school and middle school – 16 person per class maximum), the eight, 75 minute developmental sessions will be conducted on weekday afternoons
and evenings and focus on five key developmental areas that determine a player’s potential to reach the next level.

With the camp schedule ranging from early November through February, campers will be physically prepped and mentally focused on baseball’s late-winter launch.

Training Curriculum:

· Lower & Upper Body Core Strength Development
· Foot speed and explosion skills
· Lateral movement enhancement
· Throwing Velocity and Mechanics
· Improve rotational power for greater bat/arm speed

Camp Information:
The Speed Camp will consist of eight skill sessions over a four week period from November 6 – November 24th.

The eight sessions will be conducted on weekday afternoons (primarily Tuesdays and Thursdays) from 4:30 – 5:45 p.m.

The November workouts will be held on the:
6th, 7th, 11th, 13th, 18th, 20th and 24th

Conducted by HiToms Vice President of Player Development Brian Rountree and team president Greg Suire, the Speed and Strength camp is a wonderful opportunity to receive specialized instruction on athletic skill sets rarely concentrated on in amateur baseball.

  1. We are still researching to see if Charlie Pannell will be at the Camp to assist with conditioning training and this has yet to be determined as of 9pm on Wednesday…
