“The Janesh Report” for Week 10 of the High School Football Season with Josh Williams(#8 Guilford College Quakers)

We should all take the time to reflect and thank the lord for the position that he has put us in. He always gives us what we need right on time.

“There’s a difference in successful people and mediocre people is mediocre people want to be great. They WANT it. Successful people have to have it. It’s essential to their survival that they are successful.”

Spotlight Recap: (Spotlight High Point Athletic Center: High Point Central – 48 vs Ragsdale – 32 also High Point Christian – 37 vs Cannon – 3)

Tonight was dope. Got a chance to check out 2 games tonight while at the High Point Athletic Center. At the Central game, “J-Mack” and Chavis Little stole the show. They both totaled 460 yards. Jamiel went for 134 passing and 75 rushing while Chavis ran for 251 yards. Chavis is only a sophomore. The kid has potential to do some special things. He needs to come train with Janesh so that we can put a few pounds on him. If he could gain about 8-10 pounds of mass, he could be a legitimate recruit in a zone-read style offense.

As for the private school contest, Christian pulled off its first win in 5 weeks including the bye weeks. I think a huge ingredient to that success was their star QB, David Norris who returned from a knee injury tonight. He threw for 3 TDs. I took a different angle in my interviews and asked for the opinion of a few underclassmen for the Cougars. Freshman Lance Boykin had a feeling of relief after a convincing win tonight because of the previous drought. He credited this win to the senior leadership throughout this week of practice. He mentioned that after the team’s last loss, the seniors reconfigured the structure of practice. Apparently there was no funny business going on, only focus on the week’s opponent. This win has giving life back to the Cougars, sophomore DB Streater expressed his excitement for the rest of the year. He is stoked to compete with the new found confidence of his team. He again expressed his opinion about the competition scrutiny that private schools receive. He too believes that his squad at 100% can compete with anyone in this area. Look out for the Cougars stepping outside of their normal private high school competition during the preseason next year. I look forward to seeing them prove their wealth with dominating the remainder of this year and a few public schools next year.
