Junior Johnson greets fans in Greensboro at the WalMart, as part of the Bank of America 500 Trophy Tour

CONCORD, N.C.– NASCAR Hall of Famer Junior Johnson joined a Charlotte Motor Speedway road show today, greeting fans at Walmart in Greensboro, North Carolina as part of the Bank of America 500 Trophy Tour.

Presented by Coca-Cola and Walmart, the trophy tour kicked off at the beginning of September and has continued in multiple cities across four regions in advance of the Oct. 11 Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. This marks Johnson’s second appearance on the tour.

In addition to signing autographs, Johnson shared his opinion on what fans can expect at the only Saturday night race in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup.

“You’ll see probably the best race of the season because Charlotte just puts on a spectacular race and they can run all over the race track,” said Johnson. “That’s one thing about Charlotte. You can go up or down, or you can go in low and come out high and you can go in high and come out low, so you can pick the choice of the way you want to try to pass a person. It’s a race track that you can do what you want to on it.”

The final stop on the trophy tour will take place at the Concord, N.C. Walmart on Thunder Road on Monday, Oct. 6 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and Coca-Cola Racing Family driver Greg Biffle will make an appearance as well as NASCAR Hall of Famer Ned Jarrett.

In addition, the tour will feature the Coca-Cola Racing show car and simulator; Charlotte Motor Speedway’s Fan Van and pace car; plus the opportunity for fans to take photos with the Bank of America 500 trophy and the NASCAR Sprint Cup Chase for the Championship trophy. Fans can also register to win tickets to the Bank of America 500 and sample delicious Coca-Cola products.
