As the ACC Baseball Tournament gets closer to Greensboro:Duke and Wake in good shape, could be trouble for North Carolina and N.C. State

Who will arrive and who will survive????

The ACC Baseball Tournament will be held at Greensboro’s NewBridge Bank Park in late May and with the tourney headed back to ‘Tourney Town’, we need to take a quick look today and see how our in-state ACC teams are doing…

We have been very busy with our high school and Greensboro Grasshoppers baseball and if you don’t look down or at least look, the ACC will be right on top of you and who will we see in Greensboro???

The fans love the North Carolina-N.C. State matchups, over 10,000 watched as they went at it, at NewBridge Bank Park a couple of years back, on a Saturday night…

We will be lucky if we get to see that meeting again this year…..We may have a better chance of seeing either Duke or Wake Forest playing on a Saturday night and we might not even see State or Carolina at all…

There are no guarantees that State and Carolina will get here for the baseball tourney…..

Duke and Wake have put State and Carolina to shame so far this season…

Wake and Duke both have (12-9) records in ACC play, while Carolina is at (10-11) and N.C. State owns a miserable (7-14) ACC mark….

Duke and Wake both look like they have made the drive to arrive, but don’t make plans to see UNC and N.C. State….State’s Carlos Rodon, one of the most popular players in the ACC and one of the most successful pitchers during the past two ACC seasons, stands at (3-6) overall….

Let’s go back and look at the ACC Big Four baseball records again with Duke, Wake, UNC and State…

Here we go with:
Duke(24-17 overall/12-9 ACC)
Wake Forest(25-17 overall/12-9 ACC)
North Carolina(23-17 overall/10-11 ACC)
N.C. State(21-17 overall/7-14 ACC)……Everyone has 17 losses overall, but the ACC records are what are killig Carolina and State….

Who will we see in the ACC, when the baseball tournament comes to Greensboro???? Duke and Wake are on the way, but State and Carolina are on the outside on Eugene Street, looking for a way to get into the stadium…..
