Kennedy Meeks(West Charlotte HS) ready to throw some ‘outlet passes’ for Coach Freddy Johnson’s team in TONIGHT’s McDonald’s game

Coach Freddy Johnson(Greensboro Day School) will have big Kennedy Meeks(West Charlotte High School) at his disposal in tomorrow night’s McDonald’s All-American Basketball Game and they should be some real good ‘outlet passes’ based upon what we have been hearing…..

“Kennedy Meeks (is) a Sean May lookalike when he was a junior or senior in high school,” Roy Williams said on his radio show recently. “He’s got to get his body into shape but (has) great hands. (He is) probably the best outlet passer that I’ve ever recruited. The way we like to run, if we can get the perimeter guys out running, you’ll see him a lot of times throw the ball two-thirds the length of the court.”

Meeks, a 6-foot-10, 285-pound center from West Charlotte High, will no doubt start some fast breaks in McDonald’s All-American game Wednesday night on ESPN. Meeks will play for the East team, coached by Freddy Johnson of Greensboro Day School.
