Former Ferndale Middle School right fielder charged with having handgun at High Point Central HS(Now in Guilford County jail/$100,000 bond)

I used to watch this kid playing right field for Coach Gary Angel and the his Ferndale Middle School baseball team and Coach Angel has given a lot of kids a chance over the years over at Ferndale, but sometimes things change when the kids get to high school and they feel they need to carry a handgun for protection and life is full of changes and now for Anthony Lynch, he is locked up in the Guilford County Jail in High Point and he is being held under a $101,000 bond for carrying a 9mm pistol on campus, to High Point Central High School….Hate to see things end up like this, but seems to be the way our society/world is headed and it is not a good thing at all….

from High Point Enterprise at www.hpe.com:

HIGH POINT —A High Point Central High School student was arrested on Friday after a loaded gun was found on the campus.

School staff found the gun hidden in a classroom around 3 p.m., after a student tipped off a teacher, according to Guilford County Schools.

High Point police say the tip led them to Anthony Rashad Lynch, who officers found was in possession of a knife. A further search of the area near where Lynch was seated uncovered a 9 mm pistol.

Lynch was charged with possession of a weapon on campus (knife), possession of a firearm on educational property (pistol) and going armed to the terror of the public.

On Friday night, Lynch was being held in the Guilford County Jail in High Point under a $101,000 bond.

Going be hard to change how all of this is going, but many people including self, are very concerned…..Read more on this current issue with Anthony Lynch from the HP Enterprise, when you CLICK HERE……

  1. This could have been Va Tech all over if he started shooting. Who would have protect the students? If they outlaw the guns, only the criminals will have them. The laws certainly didn’t stop this young man. Students were very lucky!
