Booing Boeheim or give JB a pass? Jim rips on Greensboro, but can you blame him? Where’s the Beef?(Embrace Boeheim, JB is our buddy!)

Madison Square Garden versus the Greensboro Coliseum?

That seems to be the issue, but it also looks like this has become a piling on Jim Boeheim party……

And why? Why the beatdown on JB? He was only saying what he felt and his honesty has brought him the “Wrath of the Gate City”….

I bet many of the people that want to beat up Boeheim aren’t even true basketball fans….They are just a bunch of rousers looking for somebody to take a shot at….

The man spoke his mind and he is an intelligent gentleman at that and much more aware of what is going on in the sports field than those that are speaking out against him….

Give Boeheim a break…..He just put Greensboro, N.C. on the map and here you are, all of you that are speaking out against Jim, wanting to break him in half….

Boehemim has forgotten more about basketball than most of us will ever know…..He has been at this coaching thing for over 47 years…..

Give Boeheim a break…..He is the man that can lead us from your grandpa’s tobacco garden to the Madison Square Garden….This would be like going from an onion patch, to a rose garden….From Lee Street to Times Square…..

Come on, let’s back Boeheim and when Jim comes to town for the ACC Tournament, let’s take him over and get Boeheim a Beef Burger and he’ll love you for it….

Do you still want to break Jim in half, or will you share half a bottle of Ralph Havis’ secret Beef Burger sauce with him?

Now’s the time to get on the Boeheim Bandwagon, he may buy us one of those Large Milk Shakes at Ralph’s if we go easy on JB…..(That shake will run you around $3.56.)

WHERE’S THE BEEF?

Here is the beef on Boeheim, if you haven’t seen or heard it already….

On Greensboro, North Carolina:

Context from WRALSportsFan.com…..

[Greemsboro, N.C.]

“It’s a great place for a tournament,” he said. “Where would you want to go to a tournament for five days? Let’s see: Greensboro, North Carolina, or New York City? Jeez. Let me think about that one and get back to you.”

For those who don’t know, Boeheim has a good sense of humor and a dry one at that. But he did damage control when he was on ESPN’s “Outside the Lines.”

“It’s not that I don’t like Greensboro. I’ve been there. I like it. When I go to a basketball tournament I’m coaching I don’t even go out for dinner. I’m just talking about the fans, so I hope the folks in Greensboro aren’t too unhappy with me.”

Let’s take Jim out to dinner at the Beef Burger, on West Lee Street and introduce him to Ralph Havis, the Beef Master of Basketball……..(If we have to, we can take those Beef Burgers on up to the Coliseum and hand a sack load to Jim on the fly.)

  1. Can you imagine that? Boeheim with a bottle of the Beef’s best sauce?

Could be big in the Basketball Battles……

  2. I have been to both tournaments several times. They both have their merits. If the ACC tournament is ever at Madison Square Garden, I will be there. We have some very good restaurants and bars in Greensboro, but NYC is at a whole different level.

  3. Wonder what Johnny O is saying about this one? He’s a real big Syracuse/Orangemen fan and supports Jimmy B………

  4. Jimmy Calhoun will take him team and play anywhere, anytime.. and be perfectly happy with it. Thats just how Calhoun is.

  5. I want to see Coach K and Duke beat up on Boeheim and Syracuse again at the Greensboro Coliseum and then see Coach K take Jim Boeheim down to Ny Yang Chang’s Kitchen on High Point Road and make the Orangeman eat crow.
