We were trying to pull it off and we did, as we were able to get the Palomino Fall Baseball Schedule up here on the site….

We had received the print version and we needed the text version and thanks to Mrs. Ahrens we were able to land the text version, as she went to work and produced a typed copy for us and on behalf of all that will be viewing this schedule, we say thank-you…..

Greensboro College nets volleyball win

Greensboro, NC — Brittany Hunsucker (Jamestown, NC/Ragsdale) had 14 kills as the Greensboro College volleyball team opened its season with a 3-0 (25-11, 25-13, 25-18) victory over visitng Salem College. Hunsucker had a .620 attack percent for The Pride.

Sha McDuffie (Winston-Salem, NC/Parkland) added 13 kills for Greensboro. Freshman Dana Sandknop (Summerfield, NC/Northwest Guilford) led GC with 36 assists in the victory.Salem College’s Khadija Layne paced the Spirit with seven kills.

The Pride return to action in the Averett Tournament this Saturday.

This is the box for Thursday September 2, 2010. We are taking those gripes and complaints and we have to remind you to keep it real on your subject matter.

We will be cleaning out the box at the end of each day and we may have to do some cleaning throughout the day if the material gets too thick.

Local gripes or complaints, National gripes or complaints. Is there anything that is rubbing you the wrong way? How about that coaching change or the kid that just left one high school/college and is transferring to another? What about the kid that got left off the All-Conference team or the All-State team?

Is there a school board member that really has you upset???

When Chris Volstad, of the Florida Marlins, threw behind the back of the Washington Nationals’ Nyjer Morgan on Wednesday night, in the 16-10 win by the Fish over the Nats, Morgan took a swing and grazed former Hopper Volstad, but Gaby Sanchez had Volstad’s back and Gaby laid a clothes-line on Morgan, that took him out….

Gaby Sanchez is the kind of guy that anyone would want on their team and he is now “The Enforcer”, for the Fish……

Sanchez is similar to the Arn Anderson-type character, but the only difference is, this was for real…..Morgan took out the Marlins’ Brett Hayes on Tuesday night and Volstad came right back throwing behind Morgan last night….

Morgan comes flying out toward the mound and takes that swipe that grazes Volstad and as shown on CNN, ESPN, FOX and other outlets, Gaby Sanchez takes out Morgan, with the patented Greensboro Grasshopper/Miami Hurricane clothes-line….

If you haven’t seen this one, you need to check it out when it pops up again, on CNN, ESPN, FOX or your local station…..
