Most area schools will be closed on Friday, pushing Basketball Playoffs further down the road. Since most teams have not played or practiced in several days, weeks for some; the question is should they use Saturday to play or practice. Schools Closing Cancels Most NCHSAA Basketball Playoffs Statewide Tuesday

The “surprise” snowstorm is closing schools around the state. With schools closed, no after school activities, aka Basketball Playoffs! We will have the updated schedule as soon as possible. So right now, no basketball tonight (Tuesday, 2-24-15). UPDATE NCHSAA is holding a Conference Call at 11 AM to determine a plan of action.

The women’s basketball 1st round state playoff game with the Eastern Guilford women at West Carteret has been postponed, due to Carteret County closing school for Tuesday, due to inclement weather expected. Therefore, the game has been postponed and rescheduled for Wednesday, 2/25/15- game time 6:00 pm.
