Girls Final and we have video with Coach Steele and Nichelle Jeffries up, down below for you…
Northeast Guilford girls 52, Western Alamance 44 in Overtime…
First loss of the season for Western Alamance Warriors and now (12-1) on the season and one of the biggest wins in recent years for the NEG girls basketball program….WA killing the three’s early in the game and then NEG was able to take advantage inside and with good penetration from Nichelle Jeffries, Pam Mock and Asia Pearley, the NEG Rams got down, but were able to cut the lead to six at halftime and then in the second half, WA made another run, but NEG fought back and gained the momentum again and carried it into Overtime, where they grabbed a six-point lead, and went on to win the game by eight points….

Excellent effort from NEG inside by big #55(Briscoe) and #11(Carter), the small guard, came in late to give Avery Hobbs a break and little #11 made her game stick too, as did big #55….We will have more in a later Game Report from Coach Steele, but be sure to check out the post-game interviews below…
End of 1st Q:WA 19, NEG 6…Halftime:WA 24, NEG 14…End of 3rd Q:WA 36, NEG 30…End of Regulation:NEG 41, WA 41…NEG out-scored Western Alamance 27-17 in the second half….
