Another big week for James Summers(Page HS) and Hinds Mississippi Community College

The juggernaut that is the Hinds Community College offense was once again in full effect last Thursday night, as the Eagles finished with 627 yards of total offense to defeat Coahoma Community College, 55-20, to move to 2-0 on the 2013 campaign.

The Eagles were once again led by freshman quarterback James Summers(Page HS/ Greensboro, N.C.), who was lethal through the air and on the ground. Summers was 16-28 for 248 yards to go along with two touchdowns and two interceptions. He also had nine carries for 53 yards and two touchdowns.

Hinds, currently ranked 10th in the latest National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) poll, scored 49 points in the opening win against Mississippi Delta Community College a week ago, but outdid themselves Thursday, with 357 yards rushing (plus six touchdowns) and 270 yards through the air (with two touchdowns).
