Northern Guilford Nighthawks Varsity refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against Page, recording an 11-5 victory on Thursday at Page.
Nine runs in the first three innings allowed Northern Guilford Nighthawks Varsity to put the game away early.
An RBI double by Erin Powley, an RBI single by Taylor Hall, and an RBI double by Nikki Gaines during the first inning and a bases loaded walk and a home run by Gaines in the second inning supplied the early offense for Northern Guilford Nighthawks Varsity.
Gaines racked up five RBIs on four hits for Northern Guilford Nighthawks Varsity.
Nighthawks improve to 3-3 (1-1) and Page drops to 2-4(2-1)
