The River Mill Lady Jaguars bounced back from yesterday’s 55-42 loss to 4-A Greensboro Dudley, by defeating Granville Central in a key Carolina 12 2-A/1-A Conference matchup. River MIll is currently ranked #5 in Class 1-A, while Granville Central in ranked # 10 in Class 2-A by NCPreps.
Granville Central held the early lead, but River Mill forged ahead 16-12 by the end of the 1st period. Granville Central battled back to hold a 29-27 advantage, before the Lady Jags scored the last eight points before intermission.
River Mill outscored Granville Central 24-7 in the decisive third quarter, to secure the victory.
Kayla Burns scored 27 points for River Mill, while Keena Evans led Granville Central with 15.
