Well-known former East Carolina coach and player Ed Emory dies

Ed Emory’s football coaching record at ECU was (26-29) record in five seasons…
Gave East Carolina their first ever AP Top-25 final ranking at No. 20 following an 8-3 season in 1983.
Here is the part that I will always remember the most from reading the scores in the newspaper on Sunday mornings:The three losses in the 1983 season were to Florida State, Florida and Miami by a combined 13 points.
