Joe Paterno dead at 85

Posted By on January 22, 2012

It was reported that Papa Joe had died Saturday. He did not. He did did early Sunday though – Lung Cancer. This time the family is confirming his death.

That’s always a problem with famous people and death – even those who are not ill. The Internet is quick to pull the trigger on news and so often it is spread with out confirmation and the shear number of repeats is used as confirmation.

Paterno’s death was first reported by CBS Saturday, which was false. His family stated he was a fighter and he fought to live another day.
