Shocker from last night:Lesnar loses his last fight and then quits/retires from the UFC/MMA

Posted By on December 31, 2011

After a loss to Alistair Overeem, Brock Lesnar has retired from the UFC….Lesnar has quit and he is done fighting MMA fights….It is over, as Lesnar told a stunned crowd from his knees last night, that he is done…..”It is over and Brock Lesnar is finished with UFC competition”…..

I still can’t believe it….Not shocked that he lost, but shocked that after it was all over, he quit the sport…..Funny as all this goes, but if you look closely at the numbers, Brock Lesnar(Minnesota Golden Gophers[NCAA]/WWE/UFC-MMA)…..He stands at 6’5 and weighs 265…..Brock Stadnik(Western Guilford/South Carolina Gamecocks-NCAA)…..He stands at 6’5 and weighs 270……

From Brock Lesnar’s bout last night in Las Vegas and at www.espn.com…..

LAS VEGASBrock Lesnar took one last kick to his stomach and crumpled at the side of the cage, unable to fight back when Alistair Overeem pounced.

Lesnar had been finished by a 6-foot-5 Dutch kick boxer in the first round at UFC 141. A few minutes later, the UFC’s former heavyweight champion finished his own meteoric mixed martial arts career.

Lesnar retired from the UFC after Overeem stopped him with one vicious kick to the body at 2:26 of the first round in their heavyweight bout Friday night, leaving the UFC heading into 2012 without its biggest pay-per-view star.

“This is the last time you’ll see me in the octagon,” Lesnar said.

Kind of hate it all since Brock brought so much attention to the sport, but he is a quiter…..He quit on the WWE, quit on his NFL tryout dream after missing out with the Vikings and just quit on the UFC…..If he goes back to the WWE it will just be ho-hum for the most part since they are just a group of entertainers and when they reach a certain age or stage of their careers, they are just going through the motions and it is all talk…..ROH at least has some of their matches that go all-out with Davey Richards, Eddie Edwards, Roderick Strong etc., but the WWE? Not much going on over there, just picking up a paycheck….

That was the biggest most over hyped piece of junk fight I’ve ever seen in my life! Brock wanted no part of this fight……He didn’t even freaking try! I’ve seen everyone of Lesnar’s MMA fights and I must say he is not the same fighter he was 2-3 years ago. The fighter that beat Carwin, Mir, and Herring actually was hungry to be the best! This guy that showed up Friday was looking for a pay check and a way out of his UFC contract. It looked like he went in just trying to get paid….take as little punishment as possible and call it a night. I’m a huge UFC fans and I was very upset I spent the money to watch this crap! UFC should be ashamed they hyped this up to be the fight of the year…….Now that Brock’s retired and out of his contract with UFC look for him to take a year or two off and go make huge money with the WWE. For a fighter that’s not hungry to be an MMA fighter it only makes sense. Their is more money waiting on him in the WWE and he doesn’t have to train near as hard……..
