7 on 7′s Update for Wednesday June 29

Tonight we are watching for Ragsdale at West Forsyth….Heard today, this one was and is being covered by the Jamestown News, at least they did have it listed today, according to readers in Jamestown/High Point…..
Thursday morning you have Ledford at High Point Central at 10am…..The HP Central Bison like getting their workouts done in the morning…..Justin(Junior) Johnson and Woody Cornwell have been splitting time as the Bison’ quarterback……
Grimsley was in practice tonight and there was also a Booster Club meeting at the Grimsley campus, this evening….Many are saying the Grimsley team will be very focused this season and that they are working harder than usual in the off-season and as we had mentioned once before, don’t be surprised to see DJ Reader lined up at Tight End this year and you may also see him in the offensive backfield on occasion in the fullback position….Refrigerator Perry is back in town in the big body of DJ Reader…….NC Preps.com has Reader as the #2 lineman in the Triad, just behind Brock Stadnik at Western Guilford……Both Stadnik and Reader are on the cover of the NC Preps.com 2011 Yearbook…..
Page High School already has attended five 7 on 7′s with:
1)Elon University
2)Guilford College(Mel Kiper Jr.)
3)Southern Guilford
4)Holt Brothers at Eastern Guilford
5)Northwest Guilford…..
Page has at least six more 7 on 7′s planned and they(The 7 on 7′s) seem to be giving their quarterbacks and receivers time to get on the same page/Page, early on in the off-season/pre-season……
Most of the fans that we have been talking to and hearing from seem to really enjoy the 7 on 7′s and a few fans want to see what the teams look like when the running game is added to the overall offensive mix…….
Page will host SW Guilford tomorrow at Page. Start time, I think, is at 6pm.

Grimsley was practicing tonite as they have been thus far this summer, and the kids were having a good time with a little bit of confidence after last night. Coiro had his monthly offseason parent meeting tonite and talked of alot of good things, tying up loose ends with fundraising and meals for the kids. We will start meeting our normal twice a month in July. The communication has been helpful and needed for myself, a freshman parent.
Curious as to what the other schools are doing next fall about the change in school hours. Think GHS is going in the mornings before school for study hall and weights. This is efficient for the guys to perform well in all aspects. What is everybody else doing???

Looking at Grimsley’s schedule i can see a 3-8 season an improvement from 1-10
