Here is the word that is starting to get around about quarterback Cam Newton, a young man who could be the top pick in the next NFL Draft, depending on when they hold that draft, with the current player-lockout in effect…..
Nolan Nawrocki, from Pro Football Weekly is saying:
Newton “has a fake smile, comes off as very scripted and has a selfish, me-first make-up.”
Newton “always knows where the cameras are and plays to them,” Nawrocki continued. “(He) has an enormous ego with a sense of entitlement that continually invites trouble and makes him believe he is above the law – does not command respect from teammates and always will struggle to win a locker room.”

Andy, This was a “no story”. I listened to Gil Brandt, who has a son at Auburn, and he said that Cam is a “well manered student on campus who attendas classes, very respectful ot his classmates, and will ways speak to people he does not even know”. That comes from a student who attends Auburn. If you have any doubts contact Gil Brandt by email at NFL.Com. I think this guy at Pro Footbal lWeekly does not like Cam Newton at all. He has never met Cam or talked to him. Any jerk can write a story an give his analysis. You either like Cam or not.
There going to be many differing opinions. I have heard of Pro Football Weekly, but not that particular writer and I must say that I have heard that name Gil Brandt for many years…..He was with the Tex Schramm group if memory serves me correctly….
I’m not sure about Newton, but it sure sounds like now, that there was something going on down at Auburn…..HBO’s Real Sports…..with Bryant Gumble….
