Greensboro College women (18-0) after win at Averett

Danville, Va. — Bianca Richburg (Hillsborough, NC/Orange County) scored a game-high 17 points as Greensboro College won at Averett, 64-47, on Monday. The Pride, ranked 16th in the D3Hoops.com poll released today, improved to 18-0 and 12-0 in USA South games.
Richburg was 5-9 from the field and made 7-7 free throws. For the game, GC shot 92-percent (22-24) from the charity stripe.
Andrienne Terrell (Omaha, NE/Decatur) contributed 13 points and five assists Nikki Wilborn (Graham NC/Graham) added 10 the visitors. Danielle Duncan (Greensboro, NC/Ragsdale) had a team-best eight rebounds but was held to a season-low eight points.
GC led 36-13 at the break. Greensboro held AU to just 14 points in the second half. For the game, GC shot 40 percent (19-47) to 32-percent (18-55) for the home club.
Mette Schieman scored 16 points for Averett (10-9, 6-7).
GC travels to play at Meredith on Wednesday.
