Thomasville takes title in a tight one at Eastern Guilford Girls Christmas Classic

GIBSONVILLE — In a game of spurts, Thomasville had the last and the decisive one. Eastern Guilford had tired legs and a nearly three minute scoreless stretch that doomed any chance of defending its holiday tournament title.
The Thomasville and Eastern Guilford girls’ basketball teams each had dominate periods leading to large leads as they battled for the championship of the Eastern Guilford Christmas Holiday Tournament on Thursday night.
Thomasville had the final spurt, putting together an 8-0 run about two minutes into the fourth quarter to take command before pulling away for a 72-63 victory against the hosts and defending tournament champs.

A little surprised TVille beat Eastern but ever since Thomasville girls got demolished by Bishop McGuinness a few weeks ago they have been on a roll. Still thought the Lady Wildcats would pull this one out.
