Chevena Pickard(Page HS/Greensboro College) named USA South Rookie of the Week

Chevena Pickard (Greensboro, NC/Page) of Greensboro College was selected the USA South’s Women’s Basketball Rookie of the Week.
The freshman guard helped The Pride to an 80-62 win over Piedmont in GC’s only contest last week. In just 22 minutes of action, Pickard scored a career-high 14 points and grabbed seven rebounds.
GC is 4-0 and opens USA South play at Methodist on Wednesday night.
