Guilford College Athletics Update

Guilford’s Ellie Taylor scored early in the first half of the Quakers’ 1-0 women’s soccer
win over visiting Randolph Wednesday. Guilford enjoyed a 24-1 edge in shots
and 11-0 in corner kicks.
The Quakers’ men’s soccer team took to rainy Armfield Athletic Center after the women’s
team and played Emory & Henry to a 1-1 draw. Guilford’s Jordan Alexander
scored with 3:16 left in regulation to force extra time.
Guilford’s golf team is ranked first in the Sept. 29 Golftstat.com NCAA
Division III Head-To-Head Rankings.
The Quakers’ Mat Hennick collected the Old Dominion Athletic Conference’s
Golfer of the Week and Guilford College Student-Athlete of the Week Award
Monday. The junior placed sixth at the season-opening Sea Trail
Intercollegiate with a three-under-par score of 213.
