Grimsley soccer closes out regular season with win over Southern Alamance

The Grimsley Whirlies wrapped up the regular season last night with a 5-2 win over Southern Alamance to finish at 15-4-1 overall and 10-2 in the Metro.
Stellar defensive play has been carrying the Whirlies with Alex Holt, Kevin Wilson, Peter Byrne, Aniekan Udoka and Carter Smith defending the goal ( around a 1 goal/game average). On offense, multiple goal scorers leading the way are Josh Katz, Nate Stephens and Alec Rotunda to name just a few.
It has been a total team effort with so many team members contributing to the Whirlies’ success.
The State 4-A playoffs begin next week……..
