Well only a few know the truth. I know Jay canty personally. I played on the Varsity girls team at Ragsdale. Shoemaker was not one to help the players. He only wanted to win. And Cj is def. a up coming junior. And whether jay is going to Kansas or not. Atleast he got out before Shoemaker screwed him over anymore just like he did his brother Ladarius. Jay is a wise young man, intelligent, and has a lot ahaead of him. So lets try and re-write this article. Thanks

man this is some bull! all yal dont know what yal talking bout. i had a personal relationship with shoemaker and i know the man. his intentions wasnt to get his players seen or help them in the classroom. he just wanted to look good on the court. he tries to make it seem like he actually really cared about these kids but in all honesty he really didnt! so all you people need to gone some where and chill til yal find the real story!

Correct. He did start some games. My bad. Great kid. Wish he would not leave. Some nights it was CJ, TuTu, Jay, Josh, and Wally.

Have to agree with Reggie. I have seen Wally play at least 20 games, much more than Reggie. Wally is fine where he is. many other schools looked at him and chose not to offer. And there is not a better kid than Wally Jones. Some teachers said he was the best kid in the school. Let Wally enjoy the opportunity that he has. His family says he is excited. Shouldn’t we be happy for him? But LOL, I guess you know more than those colleges coaches. Maybe you should coach.

Shoemaker did NOT come from the Middle school. He is from raleigh. The asst. coach Gonzales did come from JMS and he held Canty’s hand every day. He almost seemed to be his caretaker. jay got plenty of attention. Get your facts.

It’s true there are some other kids that will get noticed but they are young. Plummer has lots of talent but is about 5’9″ maybe 5’10″. And he was a sub last year. May want to start for your HS team before you award him a scholarship. Ask Josh Pittman what happens to short guards. TuTu is 6’4″. How many 6’4″ centers do you see out there? How many are 6’4″ and play power forward? If TuTu wanted to get noticed he would be a tight end. He’s big and he can run.

And if the coach is not getting these kids noticed, are they getting noticed in the aau summer leagues? Or is that the coaches fault also? Why is it always the coaches fault? Let the kids be accountable for their efforts.

ok reggie, he has one player that does not have the grades and cant get any college coaches in then on the other hand he has a player that does have the grades and he still cant get coaches in to see him either!@#$%^^&&&&* i know some kids that play for this coach and the word is they are leaving b/c he is not doing his part to help the kids good looks from college coaches. wally is a d1 player a mid major but the kid can shoot and play please get your information together. all these kids are leaving for a reason. just look at who they play during the season…… he could have had a dream team with the guys he had………now he has lost them all……..b/c he cant coach the kids…………he should go back to the middle school……….

He does plenty for his kids. But some of these kids need to help themselves. Hard to bring in college coaches to look at a kid that is not academically eligible. Jay is a great kid but he has to do his part by getting it done in the classroom. Passing grades are not just handed out because you are an athlete. Hopefully Jay works this out and moves beyond all this.

BTW, Wally Jones is a exemplary student and kid but he was not a D1 player. He had the work ethic and grades to go about anywhere. If a D1 school had wanted him they would have picked him up. He has a great opportunity and he is excited about it.

THAT IS WHAT THIS GUY GET HAHAHAHAHA HE WAS SO WORRIED ABOUT STAN AND LOOK HE HAD ONE OF THE BEST PLAYERS IN THE CITY AND HE WAS NOT GETTING THE GRADES OR THE ATTENTION HE DESERVE TO ME THAT IS A GOOD COACH KEEPING YOUR PLAYERS HAPPY AND KNOWN WHERE THERE ARE IN SCHOOL. ALOT OF PLAYERS ARE LEAVING B/C HE DOES NOTHING FOR THE KIDS BY BRING IN COLLEGE COACHS OR ANYTHING BUT BRING THEM INTO A HOT GYM AND TRY TO MAKE HIM LOOK GOOD THEN AFTER THE SEASON HE DISAPPEAR ENTIL NOV 1ST JUST LOOK AT WALLEY HE CAN PLAY D1 AND LOOK WHERE HE IS GOING. JAY TO HIGH POINT WAS A JOKE. THEN HIS GRADES IS DROPPING IT IS CLEAR THIS MAN CANT STAND 10FEET WITHIN STAN K FROM NORTHERN. THATS IS WHAT HE GET FOR SENDING THEM E-MAILS. AND I KNOW WHAT HE HAS COMING THE NOTHING!!!!!!!! SOUNDS LIKE HE NEEDS TO RECRUIT SOME HELP. THIS GUY CANT DEAL WITH PLAYERS TODAY AND WATCH ALOT OF HIS PLAYERS WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE NEXT YEAR THATS WHY THEY ARE GOING TO A PRIVATE SCHOOLS.
