More on Ronnie Hayes to Northern Guilford

Ronnie Hayes, the athletics director at Chapel Hill High, has resigned to become the athletics director at Northern Guilford High in Greensboro.
Northern Guilford won the N.C. High School Athletic Association 3-A basketball championship game, but forfeited its basketball season after the school learned it used ineligible players all year. The school also forfeited games in other sports.
Guilford County Schools is investigating and the school’s former principal and athletics director resigned.
“It think the challenge appealed to him,” said Steve Scroggs, the Chapel Hill High principal.
Scroggs said Chapel Hill is beginning the process of seeking a new athletics director.
