Double-trouble for former Duke dynamic duo

Things have not been going that great lately for former Duke University basketball stars Christian Laettner and Brian Davis. The two one-time hoop stars have entered into several business ventures together and the losses have out-numbered the wins after the recent US economic downturn and some very poor investment decisions.
The duo, which led a $170 million effort to convert an abandoned tobacco factory into a thriving mix of restaurants and offices and apartments in the heart of the Bull City(Durham, N.C.), now faces at least five lawsuits for failing to pay more than $6 million to friends and associates.
