Reagan 3
Southwest Guilford 1

WP: Auslie
LP: Ogburn

Ethan Ogburn is the tough luck losing pitcher here – he struck out 14, gave up 3 hits, 1 earned run in the complete game. Will Kellam is still hot with two doubles, Brock Hudgens had the only RBI for the Cowboys, with a double to knock in Kellam. A dropped fly ball, a throwing error, and a wild pitch allowed the three runs for Reagan. Southwest is at High Point Andrews tonite and will probably see Erskine College signee Marshall Clark, Bo Rein will probably be starting for the Cowboys.

  1. Andy says:

Alan Ashkinazy was a great coach, but now Grimsley is rebuilding and they will have to keep rebuilding for a while. Coach Jason Simmons is in his first year in charge of the team. Give the man a chance. It’s going to take some time and they have to move ahead. They can’t live in the past now, it has to be full steam ahead.

Coach Simmons has some good kids on his team and I’m sure they are working hard to get better.

  2. Andy says:

Coach Ash has moved on and we need to let him move on and if there’s not anything constructive to be said everyone needs to move on and start getting ready for Today’s Games.

There’s too much bashing going on so we will close this discussion and let’s try to make keeping up with the scores the focus of these game updates and not tearing down the kids or the coaches. Good luck to Coach Simmons and all of our teams in Guilford County.

Time to close this one and move on. First-pitch today at 6PM.
