Greensboro College women come up short in comeback effort

Pride Women Come up Short in USAS Final, 66-58

Newport News, Va. – Greensboro College’s comeback came up short as Christopher Newport defeated The Pride, 66-58, in the USA South Championship game on Saturday. CNU (22-6) gets the automatic bid to the NCAA tournament and GC (26-2) waits until Monday for a possible at-large selection. Stats

Dione Eccles (Clemmons NC/West Forsyth) and Danielle Duncan (Greensboro, NC/Ragsdale) had 13 and 10 points respectively for The Pride. Kim Enoch added nine points and nine rebounds. Duncan and Enoch earned USA South tournament team honors.
